The President, Colin Dredge included a few of his ex Somerset colleagues including Julian Wyatt, Dennis Breakwell and Mark Harman as well as Frome’s more recent County player Alex Barrow, together with many of his cricketing family whilst Chairman’s Clive Copp’s side included a mix of current and ex Frome players.

The match was played over 30 overs and having elected to bat the President’s side hit 208 for 7 with Alex Barrow showing his class to end with 85 whilst there were two wickets apiece for Josh Cantrell and Nick Larder.

In reply, the Chairman’s side found it a tall order but Joe Smart hit 65, Charlie Smith 49 and Mark Watts 44 as they ended on 195 for 4 to give the President’s side victory by 13 runs.

After the match, the President thanked Rose Dredge and her helpers for providing the tea. He then presented the Club with cheques towards its youth section of about £700 as well as a playing shirt, kindly framed by Studio Prints, in memory of his son Mark who passed away earlier in the season at the age of 35.
