Watt a show for the 2's

After being put in to bat Frome lost opener Leonard for a brisk 19 off 18 balls. This was followed by the dismissals of Cantrell and Mark Dredge for scores of 1 and 0 to leave Frome tottering on 22-3. Watts and Leonard then put on what was a telling partnership. It was worth 65 before Unwin departed for 35. From then on the rest of the Frome order showed little support for Watts who finished not out on 63 off 100 balls- this was the anchor that Frome required after losing early wickets. Frome's total was 155 all out, only using 42 of their 45 available overs.

In reply Fitzhead never got going. Watts and Bracher provided control for Frome and the former bagged 4 wickets to add to his 63 unbeaten runs when batting in a superb performance. Two of Watts's wickets were well caught by Craig Dredge at slip. Bracher was unfortunate not to pick up more than just the one wicket but even so Frome were on top for sure. Woodruff finished with three wickets- all of which were bowled to leave Fitzhead all out for 57.

This rounded of a top performance by Frome that leaves them sitting second in the league. Next week they travel to Staplegrove.
