Frome 2's remain unbeaten since opening day

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, T Leonard set the pace early on as he hit a 6 over the long off boundary in the first over. J Cantrell departed for 16 after he'd put on a 87 opening stand with Leonard- Who went himself for a superb 68 off 59 balls. N Larder was caught for 12, soon followed by L Oakes for a duck before C.R. Dredge joined R Gullock to put on 55 runs for the 5th wicket. Dredge did depart for 23 before M Watts and R Gullock took the score onto 234 (58 run partnership) when the former was caught at mid wicket for 22. S Edwards hit six 2's in the latter overs to get Frome's total up to 252, Gullock unbeaten on a well compiled 68 and Edwards not out on 14.

In the field Frome took wickets at regular intervals. Only P Acreman provided any resistance for the visitors who hit 50 before being caught behind by Copp off of C.R. Dredge- who took 5 wickets in a great bowling performance. Edwards got a wicket while M Bracher finished the match off in his second spell- claiming figures of 4-25.

Frome 2nd's travel to Leigh-on-Mendip.
