Craig Dredge five for skittles South Petherton

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Frome made a slow start as Leonard and Cantrell looks to bat time at the crease. Skipper Cantrell was first to fall for 24. Ryan Gullock came in and followed suit in an attempt to bat time at the crease, in an attempt to have wickets in hand for the end of the innings. Tim Leonard was out for 46, before Smart was well caught on the boundary for 6. Simon Edwards contributed a quick-fire 19 while Gullock upped the tempo as he launched two big sixes towards the longer boundary. He and Craig Dredge took the score onto 193-4 off of their 45 overs, meaning that they earned nine out of the possible ten batting bonus points. Gullock was unbeaten on a crucial 63 while Dredge was not out on 10.

In the field Frome were dominant from the off as Mat Bracher claimed early scalps as took 3-23. Naveed Asim took one wicket, as did Mark Watts, while Craig Dredge's experience shone as he took five wickets. South Petherton were all out for 92, giving Frome victory by 101 runs.
