After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Openers Tim Leonard and Josh Cantrell scored 41 and 62 respectively. Mark Dredge also scored 41 while Simon Edwards hit a quick-fire 20. Naveed Asim scored 2, while Ryan Gullock and Craig Dredge were unbeaten, the former on 41 and the latter without scoring as the hosts compiled 233-5 of off their 45 overs.
In the field, Mat Bracher and Naveed Asim claimed a wicket apiece while Edwards claimed 4. Mark Watts also got four wickets as Leigh fell not too far short of Frome's total on 208 all out. This gave the hosts victory by 25 runs.
Next Saturday, the seconds travel to top-of-the-table Lympsham to conclude the 2014 season.
