2nd's Beat Champions to Secure 2nd Place

After winning the toss and choosing to bowl, Frome made early inroads to the Lympsham batting line up. Naveed Asim took 3-10 in a superb 8 over spell, costing only 10 runs and including 3 maidens. Mark Watts and Craig Dredge claimed two apiece. Aaron Woodruff claimed two wickets to leave Lympsham 9 wickets down before some blows from the final few batsmen got the hosts score up to 85 when Mat Bracher claimed a wicket.

Chasing 86 to win, Frome lost opener Tim Leonard for 4 when he hit the ball back to the bowler. Mark Watts and Ryan Gullock both departed for 2 to leave Frome wobbling, however a partnership between opener Mark Dredge (32) and Joe Smart (21) settled the situation. Neither of them was quite able to finish not out though, as that was left to the experienced due of Clive Copp and Craig Dredge who had unbeaten scores of 2 and 8 respectively to guide the visitors to victory.

A successful season for the 2nd's as promotion is secured with their 2nd place finish.
