Frome Falcons v Bath Swords- The Preview
Frome Falcons are looking to continue their excellent form in their inaugural NatWest Club T20 campaign, after already chalking up victories against Timsbury Miners, Midsomer Norton Greencaps and Hampset Scorpions.
The first match was a tight encounter that saw the Falcons prevail after a determined display in the field. Both the following matches against the Greencaps and Scorpions were relatively comprehensive though- meaning that optimism is high heading into Friday's crunch encounter.
Bath Swords look an imposing side and resultantly appear to pose the Falcons toughest test yet. The Swords biffed a mammoth 236-3 against Timsbury Miners in their most recent fixture, and this is a big reason for their net run rate high at +7.05.
Even with that though, it's the Frome Falcons that are sitting top of the tree. With a maximum 15 points from their three fixtures in comparison to Bath's 10 from two games- it's a big top of the table encounter at Fromefield.
And with Kilmington and Stourton also on 10 points from two games, Frome's final fixture may too be vital in terms of finishing in the two qualification places available.
However, attention is currently on the Bath Swords:
