Frome Falcons made it three wins in a row when they produced a commanding display to overcome Hampset Scorpions at Fromefield.

After choosing to bat first in front of the home crowd, Frome made a bright start alike what they've produced in the campaign so far; making it up to a mammoth 68 without loss in the six over powerplay.

With the score on 72, the hosts did lose Sam Croker though, as he was stumped coming down the pitch.

Fellow opening partner Joe Smart continued though, and having hit his third six- he had to retire having passed fifty on 55. Smart's knock came off 31 balls and also included 7 fours.

There was useful contributions from Mark Watts (11) and Paddy Hyams (17), whilst Dan Lock batted his way through the remainder of the innings for the Falcons, reaching 50 with the final delivery.

Lock's half-century came from 39 deliveries and included 3 fours, whilst Matt Knight scored a quick-fire 13 not out from just 7 balls, meaning that the Falcons accumulated an imposing 191-3 from their 20 over allocation.

In reply, Ethan Cox (1-13) was particularly impressive from the off, as he bowled tight lines which ensured the visitors never really got going. His wicket came when Smart plucked the ball at point.

There was a valiant effort from O Daykin- Pont, who scored 52 retired at a run a ball (7 fours), but a brace of scalps for Arthur Harman (2-17) with an LBW and bowled dismissal, pegged Hampset back.

Taylor Angell (2-20) continued to attain Falcons wickets, with two great catches. Aaron Woodruff took a catch on the run at mid-on, before Smart held a terrific one handed grab diving away to his left.

There was one more wicket when Woodruff (1-8) picked up a wicket, of which was well-stumped by Hyams.

This saw the visitors conclude on 129-6, meaning that the hosts claimed a 62 run win at Fromefield. Thanks to Hampset for coming and ensuring another great night of T20 at Fromefield.

It was a great win, however some fielding errors need to be rectified, aswell as wide deliveries (23 in this game) being reduced if the Falcons are to beat Bath Swords next week- in what is set to be their biggest challenge yet.

You can be there to watch the watch this encounter next Friday at Fromefield, where yet again they'll be a bar, barbeque and music- along with some top cricket of course.

Thanks go again to all the suppliers of food, along with those that helped out on the BBQ, manning the music, officials scoring, umpiring and to everyone else who lent a helping hand- without these volunteers, the event wouldn't have been possible.
