Frome U13's lose out to Trowbridge

Frome started off bowling some good deliveries and Sam got Frome's first wicket with the score on 7, as he bowled H Lloyd for 1. A few dropped catches enable Trowbridge to compile a fifty partnership as they moved the score onto 57 before Josh bowled Trowbridge's other opener B Smith for 15 off of 32 balls. J Wasika joined H Robbins at the crease and they saw the visitors to the end of their 20 over allocation. The latter finished unbeaten on a lovely knock of 43, including 6 fours off of 46 deliveries- whilst Wasika unselfishly sacrificed his wicket running on the last ball when the ball only went to wicketkeeper Alex. He duely removed the bails to see the batsmen out for 17 off of 26, an innings which included some nice straight batted drives. This saw Trowbridge U13's finish on 120-3 off of 20 overs.

In reply Frome ran into some fine Trowbridge bowling. C Tarr claimed 3 wickets for 3 runs, H Lloyd got 4 for 3 whilst H Robbins and T Bllom got a wicket also. Sam top scored for Frome with 6, whilst Owen did well to occupy the crease for the hosts- in what was by now cold, drizzly conditions. However, Frome U13's were resultingly 20 all out and this gave Trowbridge victory by 100 runs.
