66 from Ryan Gullock laid a platform for a win, before Arthur Harman spun 3-16 to secure a 147 run victory at Fromefield.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Aaron Woodruff departed quickly for 1.

Ryan Gullock and Sam Croker steadied the ship though, taking the score to 82 before the latter was run out for 19.

Mark Watts (3) and Joe Smart (0) had brief visits to the crease before Gullock finally fell for 66.

James Unwin (13) and Matthew Knight (26) added useful runs for the Showmen, but both batsmen were caught.

Also batting well was Paddy Hyams, who stroked 38 runs before being bowled to make the score 226-8.

Arthur Harman (11) and Ethan Cox (7) were the last two wickets to fall, but there was time for Robin Lett (30 not out) to smash four sixes.

Cox and Lett added 37 for the last wicket, batting intelligently to ensure the vast majority of deliveries available were utilised.

This saw the hosts conclude their innings on 265, all out off of 39.3 overs. Alex Harris claimed three wickets for the visitors.

In response, the visitors never really got going. Knight (2-8) and Watts (1-21) removed the openers with a scalp each, before Knight's second reduced Old Bristolians Westbury to 21-3.

Arthur Harman continued to rattle through the order, before he claimed the key wicket of George Woolley- well held by Smart at mid-wicket after the spinner had built pressure with tight bowling.

Harman's third wicket was caught by Unwin in the deep and it reduced the away side to 75-6.

Old Bristolians Westbury only batted with ten players, so when Woodruff (1-15), Smart (1-14) and Gullock (1-1) all picked up wickets- the match was wrapped up.

Frome bowled out the opposition for 118, giving them a 147 run victory on a glorious day at Fromefield.

All three Frome Cricket Club sides victorious this weekend!

Next Sunday, Frome Sunday Development XI play host to Brislington.
