After the hosts elected to bat first, early inroads were made thanks to Naveed Asim (2-24), as he sent both opening batsmen back to the pavilion, making it 36-2.
The third wicket came when Jim Unwin (1-12) claimed a wicket with his first delivery- P Nayanah Rajh flashing to Shane Ford at point, who took a superb catch.
The run rate was kept down as the Frome bowlers were keeping things tight. The next wicket came when G Booth (27) found Asim to give Arthur Harman his first wicket- leaving Bishopston on 69-4.
Matt Knight bowled well, and secured a wicket by bowling J Wenham for 18 to claim figures of 1-29 off his eight overs. Aaron Woodruff (1-25) also claimed a wicket at the death, but Bishopston did accelerate late on.
D Whetton (24) and R Nayanah Rajh (19) were both not out, meaning that the hosts ended their 40 over allocation on 151-7.
It seemed below par, however the Frome bowlers bowled well to restrict them. Similarly though, Bishopston made matters difficult for the Frome batsmen.
The visitors got of to a quick start, however Woodruff (11) departed in the second over, stumped to J Wenham (1-29).
Joe Smart was likewise busy at the crease, but he fell for 20 with the score on 38. This was followed by a period of consolidation from Sam Croker and Mark Watts.
P Nayanah Rajh bowled particularly well, keeping things tight after bowling Smart- with his eight overs only going for a miserly eight runs.
At drinks, Frome had wickets in hand but needed to push the scoring rate on, being placed at 59-2 from 20 overs,
After pushing the scoreboard onto 97 though, Croker holed out to L Cook of J Cook (1-34) for 38. This was followed by wicketkeeper Paddy Hyams who top edged a sweep off B Perry (1-25).
23 were put on for the fifth wicket with Unwin joining Watts, but L Cook (2-28) had Watts caught to make things more difficult for the visitors.
Just four runs later Unwin was run out for a valuable 16, before Shane Ford's valiant 7 was ended with the first ball of the last over.
However, Robin Lett scored 15 from the remaining five balls, including a six over long-off- to edge the Showmen home. Matt Knight was also unbeaten at the end, not out for 6.
It wasn't a particularly convincing victory, but it's more points onto the league table nevertheless.
Next Sunday, Frome Sunday Development XI play host to Bristol at Fromefield.
