Arthur and Mark Harman pulled together to recover a precarious position for Frome, guiding the side to a three wicket win.

After the home side won the toss and chose to bat, Frome made an early breakthrough when Aaron Woodruff had overseas player P Mogoera caught behind by Joe Smart.

A special mention goes to Gary Smart who was sub fielder for Frome at the start.

The second wicket offered resistance though as 43 runs were added, before Naveed Asim struck, bowling W Thomas for 17.

Then, Arthur Harman claimed a wicket with the first ball of his spell- caught by Robin Lett to remove the impressive M Ayres for 25. Asim then claimed his second wicket by bowling C George for 8, Brislington were now 60-4.

Further wickets tumbled thanks to the spin duo of Arthur Harman and Daniel Weston. Harman ended with 3-24, whilst Weston earned 2-16 with a bowled dismissal and the other held by James Unwin. Harman's next two dismissals were bowled, and the other caught by Weston.

Frome then bowled out the hosts thanks to a run out from Unwin, and skipper Robin Lett getting the last scalp by bowling the defiant M Henley for 29. This saw Brislington all out for 141 in the 39th over.

In response, Frome were pegged back early on as both Unwin (7)and Sam Croker (10)were trapped before off the bowling off E Maule.

Then, after Woodruff was stumped from a wide, Joe Smart and Mark Watts rebuilt for the visitors. They batted nicely to compile the what was the largest partnership of the day (49), however with the score on 85, a cluster of wickets tumbled.

First, Smart leading edged to fall for 32 from I Thomas' bowling, before Asim was leg before without scoring to C George.

Thomas (3-23) then had Watts caught, of which he followed up by bowling skipper Lett for a golden duck. Now, Frome were 95-7.

However, Mark Harman was joined by his son Arthur, and they batted very well to add 49 together (equalling the top partnership in the day)- to carry Frome across the line.

Mark was not out on 22 and Arthur unbeaten on 20, as they secured a three wicket win in the penultimate over of the match.

It's a significant win then cements Frome's position of ascendancy in the top echelon of the Three Counties Sunday League, which means they'll compete in the end of season play-offs.

There is set to be a Sunday XI fixture played this on Wednesday 17th August at Fromefield, as a Twenty20, due to Frome Falcons competing in the Under 19 T20 Finals Day next Sunday, the 21st August.
